New 360° Campaign: “The Facts Speak for the New Opel Combo”
- Unconventional Opel campaign: Charming and humorous facts instead of blah-blah
- Innovative car: New Opel Combo offers leading technologies, comfort and ample space
Rüsselsheim. “The world record for the fastest backward marathon currently stands at 3:38:27 hours. The new Opel Combo has a Panoramic Rear View Camera so that you can see everything when reversing – without getting a stiff neck." Or: “Approximately six people around the globe look exactly the same as you. The seven-seat version of the new Opel Combo Life allows you to take them all for a ride.” Humorous facts – and only two of many that speak for the new Opel Combo. This creative wording marks the start of the new, unusual 360° campaign thought up by creative agency Heimat to promote the fact that the new Opel Combo offers the ideal solution for amateur athletes, artisans and tradesmen.
The countless qualities of the new generation Combo will be highlighted by TV, radio, online and newspaper ads along with billboards and social media activities. The campaign will display facts without listing them in a “boring” way. Instead, the advantages of the Opel Combo Life and Combo are presented with charm and a wink.
“Our newcomer offers a wide range of technologies and assistance systems along with lots of space and flexibility – and passenger car comfort. A normal advertising campaign would not do this all-rounder justice,” said Christina Herzog, Marketing Director Opel Germany. “That is why we decided on a different approach instead of sending families and the whole kit and caboodle to the countryside. Functionality and facts are what count. What is the new Opel Combo capable of? Can I get everything in? We will answers these questions in the various ads.”
A further example for the Opel fact-checking is: “One in every 20 injuries sustained by football players happens when celebrating a goal.” That is definitely good to now. But it is even better to know that customers can always rely on the Opel Combo because it has Automatic Emergency Braking that helps avoid collisions. Further safety-relevant assistance systems available in the new Opel Combo include Driver Drowsiness Alert, Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Cruise Control with Intelligent Speed Adaptation and the head up display.
Further information about official fuel consumption, official specific CO2 emissions and consumption of electric energy can be found in the “guideline about fuel consumption, CO2 Emissions and electric energy consumption of new passenger cars” ('Leitfaden über den Kraftstoffverbrauch, die CO2-Emissionen und den Stromverbrauch neuer Personenkraftwagen') in German language, which is available free of charge at any point of sales and at DAT Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH, Helmuth-Hirth-Straße 1, D-73760 Ostfildern.
